Coal is a naturally formed (as much as anything in the Sphere) fossil fuel (because frankly the Sphere isn't old enough to have fossils) that is found in a multitude of areas under the surface of the Sphere. It has many uses including a fuel source and application in biological experiments, creations and construction materials.
