Surveying training is a unique training course that allows those that possess it to search for and uncover valuable resources. Via a special action they can search the surrounding area and discover deposits of available resources that cannot be readily seen (minerals, ore and other subterranean substances) and reveal them to you. As you discover new resources they will also be able to detect them (keeping up with current research as they do) though they may have to do some back tracking to areas that were searched in the past since your earlier surveyors may have overlooked what has become a useful resource.
